Shannon is the Media Relations Manager, Advocacy.
From serving as a Health Care Policy Fellow for Governor Schwarzenegger’s Health Care Reform Team to leading an advocacy team for the 7th largest credit union in the state of California, Shannon has a passion for advocating for the health of our communities. Her efforts in her most recent position led the credit union to achieve “California’s Advocate Credit Union of the Year” and recognition as the first-place winner of the Credit Union National Association’s “Desjardins Social Impact Award” for fostering financial inclusion for all youth. She also has experience working as a professional spokesperson and a television news personality for Sacramento’s KCRA Channel 3.
Shannon considers herself a lifelong learner who enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and her dog, Ladybug.
Shannon earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Mass Communications from the University of California, Berkeley. She continued her studies at the University of Southern California where she earned a Master’s Degree in Public Administration.
